Yorkville U15 Horizontal Array
« on: July 31, 2015, 10:45:45 pm »

Looking for some more information on if the Yorkville U15/U15P, being used in multiples as like a horizontal array.  i.e. 2 boxes a side over subs.  Any issues using multiples and the unity horn design?  Thanks!

Hi Courtney,

In 2010 I installed a pair of U15Ps in a venue as a center-cluster.
Walking left/right it isn't easy to find the joint between them, only a slight variation in the sound.
Very good clarity.

The venue has front-corner fills, but I don't always turn them on.

Thanks and good health,  Weogo

Unity horns will array very well. To me they're only surpassed by Synergy Horns from Danley (which are esesntially their bigger brothers). We have installed a U15 cluster in a church, the results were very good.  The U15's probably array a little better than the U15P's as the U15 cabinets are narrower/smaller.

Hi Courtney,

The U15P pair I mentioned are hard-packed, right next to each other.

I seem to remember Yorkville saying something about it was ok to toe them in a little bit, but best to ask them specifics for U15s or U15Ps.

Thanks and good health,  Weogo
