What's the price range that they're looking at for selling off that bandwidth? It would be interesting (knowing the can of worms I am about to open) if someone in the industry with deep pockets (Uli Behringer comes to mind) were to step up and just buy the bandwith to ensure it remains open for our usage.

Dredging up an old subject that really hasn't died yet.

Is there any more news on the 600MHz front? I'm looking to get some wireless kit and am wondering what frequency range is "safe".

Specifically, has it been determined what frequency range is being sold off? Will any portion of the range be allowed for wireless microphone use?

Jonathan, I look at it this way...Everything is safe, as far as frequency, right up until it's not.  I am with you.  I have some aging Shure ULX/P J1/M1 systems that I want to get rid of, but I am not sure what to buy as far as a replacement without knowing what frequency ranges are safe.

There's no way anyone can buy this spectrum for wireless.  Billions$ is right. 

It's always puzzled me why they are selling it at all...LEASE the right to use it, with option to renew at the end of the lease.  Selling implies it goes bad or wears out...sort of like the space...aaaa....not!
