Aviation is not inherently dangerous -- just terribly unforgiving of carelessness, incapacity, or neglect.

So a turbo 210?  Nice!  Just for your pleasure flying or do you have a way for it to help pay for itself? Life must have been rather good to you sir <wink>!

No, it's a personal airplane.  Actually a downgrade from a Cessna Ram 340.  It's a two member partnership currently.  Would love to find a third.  We have been blessed and life is good.  My primary vocation is Telecom/IT

A boat is a hole in the water you throw money in. A plane is a hole in the sky that you have equal luck filling.

As my dad used to say, you can't just get out and walk.

Parachute????

I have a friend who has a few planes and as I think about it he may be down to just 2 now. One of them is a small jet. My wife doesn’t want me to go flying with him at all.

Safety record of professionally flown private jets is on par with the airlines.  Owner flown jets not as good but still far better that any piston or turbine driven propellor equipment.

As far as the parachute, you wouldn't know when to jump.  Most accident sequences don't have a long lead time.
