The post that re-surfaced this thread was from someone else who didn't follow the policy.  That post has now been deleted.  Everyone else who's posted here is in compliance.

The difference in wireless bands among same band range (G50 and G51 for example, but NOT G vs. J bands)  are software based, rather than hardware based!

That means that G51 can become G50 for example with a software change, but G band CANNOT become a J band.

To do the change follow this steps:

1. Have your transmitter ready
2. As soon as you turn it ON press EXIT + ENTER fast
3. A password screen will come up asking for a password
4. Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to select "D" as your password and hit ENTER
5. Under "Band" menu, you will be able to select between G50/ G51
6. Done!

You need to first down grade the firmware to an earlier version then all of this will work
