Are these electrical inspections common in the US?  Over here we just plug in and go.  I don't think I have ever seen an official of any type looking at the electrics.

I attended a seminar for worship teams at a mega church.  It ran all day and in the evening there was a concert.  The techs among us received a tour of the "booth"  (About 5 rooms) and were told we could come up any time except during the concert.  Our small church group had dinner delivered and received the dozen cookies we ordered plus two dozen extra.  It was more then we could eat so I took them up to the door to the booth.  the guy unlocked the door and I gave him the cookies explaining they were leftovers, and turned to leave.

Need to resurrect an old thread. Looks like this would be the best place to ask. I have two of the 3000is generators. I normally use one with about a 22 amp load using the 30 amp connector. Of course you don't really get 30 amps out of it and every once in awhile it cuts off due to a short term overload (guessing around 26 amps).

As previously discussed Honda no longer makes a parallel kit for these....... BUT......

I found this, looks like it would work.. Any thoughts?

That appears to be a NEMA 5-50R receptacle rated for 50 amps and 125 volts, correct? If so, and if the "banana plugs" will fit into the Honda generator, then this should work.

Honda does make a parallel kit for the 3K Handi, but won't rate it for the EU3000iS. When I talked to their marketing guys about this, there was something about drawing continuous loads through those little banana plugs. While that might be an issue for lighting, it's probably not an issue for sound due to the crest factor. I've already emailed the manufacturer's tech support about getting a unit to test, but who knows if they'll send one.

So I understand correctly, looking at outlet, left blade common, right blade hot, ground on bottom???

As opposed to two hots and one ground right? When I think of a 50amp connector I see it as 240 volt.

That's correct. Don't assume that any receptacle that's big is 240 volts. If you look closely you'll see that there's 125 volts max printed on the face of the receptacle.

One more question, the wires on the kit are color coded red & black (plus green ground) and the banana outlets on the generator it is actually sold for are also color coded...
But, my Honda's have no color code.. Guessing it matters.. May have to meter before making connections.

Anyone know?
