Just as my question is titled. I am looking into buying a few of the JBL AWC 8 or 12 inch boxes and looking to find anyone who has heard them. I cannot get a demo in my area and hate having to buy sight unheard.

These are for a permanently installed outdoor background music setup at a theme park.

I can get the 8 inch versions in black shipped for $400 each. Can any dealers here beat that? Feel free to PM me if so.

We have installed several of these at baseball fields, both the 8 and the 12.  They can get really loud an sound very clear even at 300-350 ft. Also, we were impressed with the full range sound; especially on the 12's. But being JBL's, power them properly. I think we used xti 4k's, or 2 k's brideged. I would recommend the 12s over the 8s.
