When arrayed, the $469.99 version doesn't have the same lobes as the original JBL, but is noticeably quieter.

If you need to manage noise complaints from neighbors, this might be the right product for you.

:-)

... But when loaded with mystery drivers, how bad can they be?   (Don't answer that!)

What's strange, is that anymore ebay doesn't even pull these joke-of-a-clone.  I've emailed countless times reporting many counterfeit items, yet they remain listed.

Well, if you are not the IP holder, copyright owner or patent owner, then yes, they will probably not listen to your complaint as much. When the aforementioned people make a complaint, though, eBay WILL jump right onto it. I know Sennheiser is pretty gung ho about protecting their brand, so maybe sending them the links to auctions that are selling something counterfeit would be best.

In this case, same deal, sending the auction link to JBL may get them to take action against this seller.
