I know you are looking for active subs, but if you could swing two Yamaha DXR10's and a Danley TH-Mini.  You would be in awesome shape.  Use an amp with DSP to control crossover for the sub.  I used this setup for a very long time and it was by far the best sounding small system I have ever used and the TH-Mini is a beast!

Thanks. Looks interesting. I have a Yamaha
P7000s power amp that has adjustable filters that maybe could run a pair of those subs.
