Bunt Backline Event Services, LLC in the beautiful Gainesville, Fl is seeking an energetic and versatile Audio Visual Technician to join the team. We are a regional Sound, Backline, Lighting, Video, and Staging company serving the Southeast US, primarily in North and Central Florida. Bunt Backline provides AV for corporate events, sound and lights for festivals, churches, and concerts, and Backline for a variety of events. Bunt Backline also performs installations and maintenance of sound systems.
Job Description: Audio Visual Technician is expected to be well versed in the setup and operation of sound systems, video projectors, stage lighting, Backline, and any other rental equipment as needed. AV Tech will serve as audio engineer, lighting tech, Backline tech, staging builder, and any other aspect of production needed on a given event. Flexible work schedule is required. Many events are on the weekends, and Sundays are frequently required, with shop prep and various work throughout the week. The work schedule varies somewhat seasonally (we are slower during summer months). 25-50 hrs per week is the typical range.
Skills and Abilities
-AV Tech is expected to be flexible and willing to play whatever production role may be asked on a given day.
-Associates Degree or higher preferred, theater or production degrees a bonus, but experience and attitude is valued most.
-Audio Visual System Setup Experience
-Experience mixing sound for bands and church services
-Musical Theater Production Experience a plus
-Experience on x32 and Avid Digital Consoles a plus
-Ability to lift 50-75lbs required
-Strong Organizational Skills
-Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
-Ability to multitask
-Willingness to learn new skills and hone areas of less skill.
-Team attitude and customer service mindset.
-Good grasp and understanding of computer skills, primarily Google Drive
-Clean Florida Drivers License
-Ability to drive trucks with utility trailer
