Bi-Amping suggestion on my QRX 115, QRX 218 & CAMCO AMPS
« on: March 12, 2015, 11:24:02 PM »

Hi Good Audio Folks out there,

I have a QRX 115 and CAMCO D-POWER 1 and D-POWER 2 laying around and i want to experiment on Bi-Amping that QRX 115 top. I am planning to use DP1 for the HF and DP2 for the LF. So the problem here is i dont have 4 conductor speaker cable.

The routing in my opinions is as follows,

1. Connecting DP1 in stereo mode for the HF for the L and R of the QRX Using 2 conductor speaker with NL2. (The D-POWER 1&2 Accepts NL4)
2. Connecting DP2 in stereo mode for the LF for the L and R of the QRX Using 2 conductor speaker with NL2.
3. Combine that two cable together in a NL4 and set the QRX into biamp position.

Or any other suggestion or opinion to make this method better?
What suggested Frequencies for the HF and LF as a good starting point in my DSP Processor?
Im sorry this kinda a newbie question but I am still learning.

Sorry, silly question; have you contacted EV to see what they suggest for processor settings?

Yes but i have no luck contacting them.

Here are the two files that I got from EV back when I had the QRx 115/218 setup.  The first is for the 115 by itself and the second is for the 115 with the 218.
