My esteemed colleagues

The management of two of the venues I work with in SF have decreed that we have a "garage sale" at both venues today and tomorrow.

I have pretty good handle on the current worth of most of what we've extracted from the basements but have unearthed three JBL 2441 2 inch drivers, one with the tape cross on the back indicating a blown diaphragm.

What are these selling for currently?

I know that some Alnico JBL stuff fetches stupid money but not all.

Get thee to Ebay. A pair of clean drivers fetched $1100 probably from a hifi tweek since they were advertised as "Fully Restored by Speaker Guru and Legend Mr. Sam Saye". Most were selling in the low $200s.

I paid $220 a few years ago for a 2441 with a working Radian diaphragm in it. If they have original JBL diaphragms, they can fetch more.

I havent heard from or seen "Sam Saye" in at least 15 years. I've got a project for that man.... Hope he's still doin it......
