FS: HHB CDR830 BurnIT Plus
« on: February 23, 2015, 11:19:59 am »

Rack-mount CD-R/RW with Digital and Analog inputs and outputs.
I only used it as a player, not a burner, so I can't vouch for how it burns CD's.
I did use the AES/EBU Digital Output, which works great. Analog outs also work fine.

The CDR830 BurnIT Plus is a stand-alone professional CD burner featuring high precision 24-bit analog to digital and 24-bit multi-level Delta Sigma digital to analog converters. The unit's specifications are exactly the same as for the CDR830 BurnIT except for the addition of XLR balanced analog inputs and outputs, AES/EBU input and output and the addition of a WC BNC input. The design of the laser assembly means that every single CD-R and CD-RW disc written is very accurate, providing greater compatibility with other CD players and recorders. Solidly built for studio use, the unit records on readily available, low cost discs and features a SCMS-free digital input.
Aside from recording from an analog source, recording from CD, DAT, MD or hard disk is easy using the unit's digital input. A built-in Sample Rate Converter (SRC) accepts sampling rates from 32kHz to 48kHz. Three synchro-recording modes allow burning a single track, all tracks and all tracks with finalizing. When recording from a digital source, the CDR830 BurnIT Plus's digital record gain control can adjust the signal input level, enabling gain adjustment for individual tracks. This is perfect when recording a compilation CD from many different sources, since some tracks may be at a higher or lower volume level. All digital inputs have their own level control.
All signal levels can be monitored during recording or playback using the LCD meters, with an input monitor facility also provided. The CDR830 BurnIT Plus also has a left/right digital balance control, enabling the balance of digital and analog sources to be adjusted before they are recorded. A CD Text feature enables the user to store disc, track and artist names on the disc. This information is then displayed whenever the disc is played on a CD Text compatible CD player or recorder. Each entry can be up to 120 characters in length (including spaces), with title scrolling if it is too long to fit in the display.
