« on: January 22, 2015, 11:54:48 am »

Be on the look out for some new and exciting JBL and Soundcraft items. Don't know much yet.

New powered speakers and tablet mixer is all I know so far.

Will keep you posted.

It looks as though the Soundcraft Ui (http://youtu.be/_EX_cO1wxJs) is an enhanced version of the SM Pro uMix (http://youtu.be/GkcPMJpRFdo) range announced a year ago, but which never shipped.

JBL SRX800 - Powered!!!! but with IEC :'(

EV EXK - it falls in between the ELX & ETX.  I didn't think there was that much of a pricing difference in the speakers.

A few new items on the X/M32 platforms...
32x16 rack stage box:
 - Behringer S32 - http://www.behringer.com/EN/products/S32.aspx
 - Midas DL32 - http://www.midasconsoles.com/Products/DL32.aspx
Stage/Drop Boxes:
 - Behringer SD8 (8x8) - http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/SD8.aspx
 - Behringer SD16 (16x8) - http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/SD16.aspx
Control Surface:
 - Midas M32C (aka X32-Core) - http://www.midasconsoles.com/Products/M32C.aspx

Interesting that the mixing app for the UI is via HTML 5, so presumably it'll work with any modern tablet, phone, or computer.

Actually it's the SRX800 self powered series. I wonder what that will be?

They do appear to be locking IEC connectors.  Info is up on JBL's website.

my hate for IEC is that I can't build them like PowerCon.

The question shall be... What are the Loaded Presets?
What drivers are loaded in there?

That looks very interesting. Looks almost exactly like this product which we discussed last year. Wish it had the connectins on the back of the unit.

I just talked to my Harmon rep. He confirmed that the Ui mixers were an acquisition from another company.

This Soundcraft Ui series of mixer is exactly the SM Pro uMix mixers that we discussed earlier.

MSRP prices are $530 for the Ui 16 and $350 for the Ui12. Available in March. I'm going to buy one of the Ui16s as soon as they are available to put into my banquet hall rack.

Yes! Looks like the SRX835P is 60x40, perfect for splaying! Drivers are Differential Drive and 3" compression.

Soundcraft website is on a new layout and maybe they purposely broke their website to not spoil stuff?? I can't view pictures there...

EDIT: Sweetwater also has Soundcraft pricing on their mixers too.
