What (Yamaha ?) console is this?
« on: November 24, 2014, 02:08:50 AM »

In this pic, the one in the bottom center, that looks like an 01V96 with three jog wheels and 8 faders?

Pic posted on the Yamaha Commercial Audio Europe Facebook page, btw.

I'd guess it's a lighting console - too many encoders, too few faders, too many buttons. Though I don't know which one.

Aha...it appears to be a MA Lighting Scancommander, a 1992 vintage.

Well, there appears to be a CL/QL a few seats down, but definitely not the focal point of the image.

Likely some yahoo in marketing saw all the pretty buttons, and thought that was the "important bit of kit".
Wouldn't you think, given the size of Yamaha, that whoever gave the green light would be familiar with the line-up ?? I can't see Yamaha using outside marketing, but this image sure looks that way...

Ya, Whatever. Just throw a '57 on it, and get off my stage.

Or maybe the picture is just one in a series of photos from a several day long event, serving as documentation and report meant to show the crowd and the atmosphere?

Who knows? (I, for one, do)
