I think the concept of satire went right over a few heads.  This is funny AND instructive.  He says "don't do what I did... this can hurt you.... THIS can kill you...."  How many disclaimers should he need?

And much funnier than a slide show of missing fingers and burned faces...

Yep. He is an EE and definitely knows what he is doing. The fact that he's Iranian and his main schtik is shocking himself (or pretending to) just adds to the fun.
