Have you ever dissected a Duracell 9v battery? It is made up of 6 aaaa batteries. Be very careful if you ever do this the case is very sharp and you can cut yourself badly.

I did once in about 1986.  Turns out it was a fake one as the metal cladding appeared to have started life as a can of hair spray! The Duracell branded print was quite convincing though.

Not all 9v batteries are cylindrical cells like that, some are flat rectangular cells in a single stack.
