Any news on Avid's next large format?
Supposedly they've been working on a next gen large format for quite some time, based on their "S6" surface, but it seems like it's taking them a long time
Avid is about to go bankrupt. See the DUC for the story under the New Licensing thread. I was at an Avid Everywhere event last week and pressed them on their live stuff and they were more than just mum. My guess is they are trying to keep the ship afloat before launching any new flagship live consoles. Maybe next year, if they are still in business.
