Is there a place incomplete new posts go when they disappear?

I'm not specifially familiar with this forum software but I haven't noticed any auto-save feature. It's likely that a new post is only in your browser before you hit "Post" so the forum doesn't even know you wrote anything.

I was in the middle of one when it just vanished.
If I'm finding my response is getting a bit involved, I'll cut and paste it into Notepad (Win) or TextEdit (MAC) and take my time with it. That way, should I get called away, I can resume.
When I finish, I just cut and paste back into the forum.
