You mean I've got to buy one now to try out?  I see the bid on eBay is still at $9.95, but they want $15.50 for expedited shipping. Why would I want one in a hurry?

Back then we had fans with metal blades you could stick your whole hand into.

Of course back then there was a thing called "personal responsibility".

Something sadly missing today.  We expect somebody else to take care of us-so that we can do whatever.

And then if something goes wrong-we can always sue them then have even less responsibility.

For awhile as I approached a 1/2 century I had what a comedian called "white mans angst" apparently if you have worked for yourself most of your life and accumulated a few nice things you get a really acute case.

All political incorrectness aside, as it is not a racial/ethnic thing the bottom line is the symptoms manifested as intense anger toward those now willing to put the work in, to take responsability.  I was especially sensitive to those that told me that they didn't have the time to learn.

I slowly recovered, mostly by ignoring but also opening my eyes.  Just yesterday met a guy that plays keys/guitars, teaches during the day and is learning recording techniques.  He was intelligent, hard working and well spoken.  I drove away feeling that we might be OK once I leave this earth (Back to silly humor again).

Anyway, we are not allowed to talk politics or religion/faith and this topic has shading in all those areas.  I will just say before I get censored that a bit of tort reform would do this country good (the US)

How many milliseconds does it need on 240 volts? Or perhaps I can do two in series!

From what I recall, it took about 15 to 20 seconds with 115v.

Don't push the nails in too far, as the ends of the hot dog will not heat up. due path of least resistance.

I think it's an American thing.  I have never seen anything like it.

The funniest thing I have seen related to electrical cooking equipment is a George Forman Grill advertised for sale as a 'George Formby' grill (younger readers might need to look this up).
