Saw this sign today and couldn't resist. Pass this on to your lighting buddies.

"Do not attempt to light with match."

And of course, we owe a lot to Mr. Tesla as well. I should change this sign to say "This stage is equipped with Tesla Alternating Current" and post it at my next gig. I wonder how many musicians would freak out before plugging in?

It is rumored that such signs were actually used at the Prospect House in Blue Mt NY in  1889

It was the first hotel to have an electric light in every room.  (DC powered by a Edison generator on the grounds)

I am writing this from a small cottage on the grounds of that great Hotel.
