How to fit a ZOOM 9030 in a 19" rack
« on: August 21, 2014, 11:57:28 AM »

Hello.
I am new to the forum and I hope someone can help me.

I have an old ZOOM 9030 which is not perfectly half of 19" (a bit wider) and due to its age I cannot find a suitable rack to fit it into my 19" rack.

Are there some universale rack trays with adapters to hold the ZOOM when I turn the cabinet upside down while moving it?
I mean, something that can hold it both at right/left side and also in the back/front.

Thanks a lot!
Alberto

Buy a rack tray of appropriate height and secure the unit to it.

Thanks Matt, yet the height is the standard 1U and the matter is exactly how to "secure the unit to it".
I was asking right that! :-)

Take your pick;

Thanks Bob, that would seem to do.

Any advice about the lateral "locks" (sorry, I know how to call them in Italian but not in English) to hold the Zoom from right and from left?

In the past, I have removed the rubber feet from whatever, and drilled matching holes in the tray. Add screws, job done.

Ya, Whatever. Just throw a '57 on it, and get off my stage.
