Jbl custom subwoofer 2x18"+ v1000

Hello, im thinking of buying this empty cabinets jbl 2x18" csr82L. I have 2 v1000 void speakers. Has anyone tried this speakers in this kind of box. If they sound good, i would need 2 more void. Any other speaker suggestions for this cabinet? Thank you.

I might also need an amplifier, any suggestion???

Sam,

The Void V18-1000 has TS parameters similar enough to the JBL drivers that it should work OK in the cabinets. The speakers are rated 1000 watts AES each, so depending on the type of program material you run, look for an amp capable of 700-2000 watts per driver.

It seems i need a 2000Watts amp each side at 4 ohms   . can anyone suggest what amps are they using for their subs?????

Well, Void uses Void amplifiers, Rog Mogale's  39.5 kg (87 pounds) Infinite V8 is the unit in the Void line with that much power.

I'd prefer the SpeakerPower Torpedo SP4000, rated 4000W/2 ohm, 2400W/4, 1300W/8, it weighs only 7 lbs, and costs a lot less.
