Cool. I've seen that arrangement but most of the stages I'm dealing with are only 3 to 4 feet tall. If I set the subs left & right I could do that but Id still have the power alley thing. I cant stack subs like that together at front & center and especially under the stage. They have to be only 1 sub high, next to each other.
Maybe 3 side by side with the center sub backwards would be close?

Can you turn your subs on the side like this?

The problem is still the same as stated earlier.  With building the cardiod sub patter the subs need to be 5 or more feet out in front of the stage for the sound to be able to interact between the two subs facing forward and the one sub pointing back.  The length of the sound wave is from 8 ft to 32 ft depending on the frequency.
