I normally use a portable DVD player. Easier to read the screen, easier to find, cheap.

I just saw a Parasound Zcdp that fits a rack space..  May look into that.  Anyone ever had one?

If a tabletop model would work I have some Denon DNS700 players in stock that are compact, very reasonably priced.

I've got a Sony CDP-D11 I'm not using anymore.  Worked great for me until we went to laptop-loaded content.  PM me if you're interested.

Al Rubio, just out of curuosity, what software program do you use to play your music on your laptop?

Hey there, Jerry!
Since our primary focus isn't necessarily the music we play off of the laptop, we felt comfortable going with a free program called DJ Virtual Pro from an outfit called Soft 32.  It's worked well enough so far!
