Ironically enough, it came from Crutchfield, but it's well written, easy to understand, and fairly accurate.

OMG! I'm going to blow up the sub in my car...  I'm only powering it with a little "200 watt"(term used loosely, just saying what the amps box says) amp and I'm sure it's rated for at least twice that..... Except that I've been using it for almost 2 years with no issues.

Sending a square wave to the speaker will try to get it to move infinitely fast.  Thank god nobody has actually done that, because if the cone is moving infinitely fast, it would be moving faster than the speed of light, and create a black hole, and we'd all cease to exist.

Awesome!

Speaker + Square Wave = Black Hole

If wishing could make it so...

edit ps.  Canada gave us Nickelback AND Bieber.  How hostile does Canada have to get before we invade to return both acts to their homeland? /satire

You guys lost the big hockey bet, he's your problem now. :D

Huh?  if you are not giving your subwoofer "enough" power, how does it know "what you're asking it to do"?

Ask nicely. Speakers have feelings too!

That's nothing.  I forgot to plug one in so it was getting absolutely nothing.  It will be totally useless now!
