New Topics?
« on: February 15, 2014, 10:38:58 PM »

I think we've had some great topics and discussions on this forum so far, and I'm always looking for new topics and concepts about AC power and grounding to cover. So if anyone has a burning question or topic bouncing around in their head, please speak up.

If your looking for topics to make make sticky then I would like to see an article on meter readings or other hints that indicate your NOT on a typical US 120/208 Y or 120/240V single phase electrical connection.  Incorrect wiring is one thing, properly wired nonstandard or old services is something we should all be able to recognize.

That's a great idea. Do one of you want to help me write this up off-line, and we'll publish it on the main PSW site, then make it a sticky topic on this forum. You'll get co-writing credits with me, for what that's worth. Might get you a free beer someday. 8)

On a similar subject. does anyone make an in line isolator which will shut off the power if it senses that it is not in the expected voltage range or configuration?

Steve.

The Furman rackmount voltage regulators will do that.
