measurement mic storage - desiccant?
« on: January 19, 2014, 05:52:15 AM »

I bought an Otter Box to store my TM-1 and ECM8000 mics.

Should I bake up some old desiccant packs and place them in the mic case?

I do the same with my microphones.  Some of my packages are wearing thin, I need to find some more.

If you live in a dry climate, it may not be worth the trouble.  If you live somewhere where things get damp and go mouldy, definitely.

Most days in the desert it are pretty dry, but during July and August the Arabian Gulf essentially boils and the water drips off the windows like a can of Coke outside on a hot, humid day.
