I have the Si Compact 3 and a Si Expressions 3. Both of them have the Madi cards and we have used them successfully for about a year. We just recently added the Soundcraft stagbox and now we have issues. Before we could see the Madi card links but when the stagebox is hooked up you cannot see the Madi card links but only the stagebox links. Can anyone tell me if this is normal or is something messed up? If this is normal then the boards will not function right.

Do you see the stage box as additional channels on either the Compact or expression?

Yes I see the stage box but we cannot see the Madi channels

If I just hook up the 2 consoles via madi card then I can see the madi card channels but as soon as I hook up the stage box the madi card channels disappear and you can only see the stage box channels. The problem with this is that the way the 2 consoles communicate are through the madi channels.

Take a look at the Soundcraft site under Expression. There are two (2) guides you'll want to look at. One guide is examples of connectivity, the other is details concerning option cards. These explain the requirements for attaching 2 consoles and a single stage box. You didn't state which cards you were using, so it's possible you'll need the dual port MADI card to accomplish your goal.
