EDI Bijou?
« on: December 29, 2013, 12:11:04 PM »

Anyone ever heard of a Electronics Diversified Bijou 48/96 LCD? I got a call from a buddy last night asking about MIDI control into it, I'm here looking at it right now and nothing I've tried is making the board do anything. I've tried MSC and straight Midi commands (notes, program changes, etc). There doesn't seem to be a direct option to enable MIDI in, other than changing the ID away from "0", which it is (I have it set to "2", which the program I'm using to send commands is set properly (Q-Lab).

I've got a little bit of time, they're trying to setup for the music Joseph in February, but any help would be awesome if anyone has experience. The company doesn't exist anymore and searching the manual has only one mention of MIDI, basically showing where in the menus the options are but nothing else whatsoever.

Thanks in advance!

You might try:

EDI Service & Repair
Alan Child

503-781-7361

This is an independent service and repair company for EDI products as of 1/1/13 and is comprised of former EDI factory service personnel.
Worst case is they would not know the answer!

Thanks! I'll pass along the info to him, he had some concerns about the system overall anyway as they have some dimmer slots going bad and a bad remote house light pad, so maybe they can give him a hand with that too.
