Which analog console would you prefer to see at FOH from a sound company for under 1500 to 3,000 attendance shows?

Console base spec:
8 Bus Dual fonction Live sound Mixer.
VCA GROUP
8 - 10 auxes
Option for Discrete mono output for sub.
Mute Group System

( Outputs option: "8 - 10 Auxiliary outputs, 8 analog subgroups, matrix, VCA GROUP, Left/Right, Center, and Mono (subwoofer).

Those are the mixers that i work with this year.

Gl3800 nor Midas Verona actually have VCA controls.

We own both, the GL3800 is a fine desk. The Verona made band engineers who hear their eyes happy. 

All these consoles sound good to great, and many have a decent feature list but I would prefer a LS9 to any of them these days.

Not sure your market but 1500-3000 people puts us in SC48 or Midas PRO console range.

After experience the convenience of digital, an analog board wouldn't be my first choice at all, especially one with high spec requirements you're asking for.

Even the 'cheap' digital boards now could be acceptable solutions for many venues in that class.

Would not a better way to phrase the question be "Which analog console do you see requested on riders for FOH  for for shows under 1500 to 3,000 attendance shows?" and further specify type of show and approximate channel count?

I am not sure what the connection between the number of people in the audience and the type of board is but I mix regularly on a A&H 3800 and it is a perfectly usable piece of equipment.

In our market, an artist that can sell 3000 tickets typically gets whatever console THEY request. The exception being bluegrass festivals, then I get to choose...

Yeah

If it had to be analogue then APB would be my first choice no question.

However I'd rather have a digital desk with all the advantages it provides. Digico SD (9 or 8 maybe) or a Pro 2 would be first choice, but a Vi1 or an iLive would be fine as well and even though I'm not as big a fan as you US guys I'd even take an Avid.

I have a Soundcraft MH4-40 if you're interested.  It needs a case and a little elbow grease, but it's cheap.
