Looking for a seemless video mixer with hdmi or Dvi and Vga inputs and outputs....Touchscreen would be nice but not necessary...Was looking at the edirol 4-ex....running pro-presenter off a macbook pro and probably a second laptop and dvd player...Audio from the mixer is not important as I will be running it directly from the source...Multiple Hdmi and VGA inputs would be helpful...

What resolutions are your sources and how flexible does that need to be?  Inputs 1 through 3 on the Edirol V-4EX are limited to being 720x480/59.94p and since they are referred to as HDMI "vieo" inputs may also be limited to YUV color space. Basically, those three inputs aappear intended only for HDMI video sources running at 720/59.94p, such as cameras.  Apparently only Input 4, which can be HDMI or RGB/VGA, accepts a wider range of resolutions, scan rates and color space (480/59.94i, 480/59.94p, 720/59.94p, 1080/59.94i, 1080/59.94p (NTSC), 576/50i, 576/50p, 720/50p, 1080/50i, 1080/50p (PAL) for HDMI and 640 x 480/60Hz, 800 x 600/60Hz, 1024 x 768/60Hz, 1280 x 768/60Hz, 1280 x 1024/60Hz, 1366 x 768/60Hz, 1400 x 1050/60Hz, 1600 x 1200/60Hz, 1920 x 1200/60Hz for RGB/VGA).
 
Also note that the V-4EX internally converts everything down to SD resolution, porcesses it and then can scale the output back up.  So You can be HD in and out but it actually downscales the inputs to SD, does any processing and then rescalers the output back up to HD rather than actually processing the signal as a HD signal.
 
Basically, it may have the phytsical connectivity you want but I'm not sure the Edirol V-4EX provides the actual functionality and flexibility you may want.  If you want multiple flexible HDMI and VGA inputs then you may want to look more at presentation style seamless switchers like those from Extron, Kramer, FSR, TV One, Analog Way, etc.
