Yeah when we first moved in here a few years back, apparently cable management was very low on the priority list.

I've been trying to do what I can without spending money but I think buying a few sub snakes will really go a long way.

As far as what I'm patching/re-patching, it's only 4 or 5 times a year but whenever we get back from a retreat it always takes a few hours to get the stage put back together.

This about as consistently tidy as I can get.

I run 4 stage snakes.  DrumDrop, Stage Right, Stage Left, Keyboard Land.  Stage Snakes, power stringers and IEC+XLR combo cables help tons.  I place monitors + subs... then drop all stage snakes/power stringers, IEC+XLRs... patch @ rack... then set mic stands over top of cabling... run mic cables (leave excess at the source not at the snake)... band moves in.  Clean up in reverse order... all layers back for next time.

I did a job a month ago for a blind piano player who for several songs wanders around with a wireless mic and no walking stick?  He can see enough to stay between the light trees... but everything on stage had to be taped down.  Added 3 hours to setup and $40 in tape but no embarrassing falls or trips.

To me "cable management" is when the cable manages to connect 2 pieces of equipment :)

Now that's what I call a power drop!

Here's a tip, Mr. Visual Person - get tested for dyslexia and other text impairments.  Seriously.

Would you please explain what in the world you are talking about?  Seriously.  Were there some deleted posts that I missed that justify that kind of talk?

I don't think it was meant to be negative. There is a fairly large population of people in mid to late middle age who have what would be identified as specific conditions today but were never identified when they were in school.

Many of these people basically had to learn alternative strategies for learning on their own because they didn't fit into our perfect mode of an educational system, so they didn't receive the support they needed in formal schooling.
