Just got this from Yamaha support;
"Hi Rich, the optional memory chips were 1mb sram: xr772a00 was our part number. we can no longer get them. the chip number was UPD431000AGW85LL. hope this helps, EB"

Haven't tried to cross reference them yet.

Haven't tried to cross reference them yet.
   Tried to look it up and it seems that some vendors might have it in stock or at least thats what their sites say.. http://octopart.com/upd431000agw-85ll-nec-7694818.
   No prices listed directly though.

Could you post a picture of the sockets/location where the RAM is installed please. It's possible I may have the RAM and if I do you can have it FOC.
