Yoke for QSC K12
« on: October 10, 2013, 01:21:29 PM »

Howdy -

I'm looking for a less expensive alternative to this.

http://yhst-93643794936312.stores.yahoo.net/fg00037201.html

the application is an install that is happening in the Dominican Republic that i WON'T be able to oversee.  so, it needs to be something very simple that i can show a layman how to do.

they are being mounted to a flat concrete ceiling.  These guys definitely know how to make an anchor in concrete work, so i'm not too worried about that.  i just need a yoke that will mount to that and to a K12 and not cost 160 bucks a piece since this is a church missions thing.

if the QSC yoke is the best/only way to go, that's fine too.  just thought i'd check in here first.

thanks,

brian

ATG (adaptive technologies group) has a variety of u brackets. I have no idea what the run price wise compared to the $129 street price of the QSC.

Edit-The appear under the Allen brand name on full compass. Look to be about $50

is that QSC bracket available easily online at that price.  i guess i didn't look very hard.  :)

EDIT:  yeah, i'm an idiot.  Google is my firend.

it's readily available at many locations and with better pictures so at least i know what i'm getting.

i'll probably just go with that since it seems pretty comprehensive.

I made an edit... it may be worth looking at the Allen brand on full compass. They are about half the price.

good to know for future reference.  for this project i decided to just pony up for the QSC brackets since i need to ensure it'll go together without a hitch on site.  i'd hate for them to be onsite and come up a bolt short or something and not be able to source it locally.

thanks for the help Jay.
