Here's a good little article from Gibson regarding micing guitars for recording and live sound. This is a question asked all the time, and a question I've received countless PMs about. There is no "special way" to mic a guitar, there are, as this group knows, many, many ways to get that sound, the sound the artist feels is "his sound".
