Anyone know of or used a wall mounted projector mount?  It needs to support 55 lbs and keep the rear of the projector 28" from the wall.  I have seen some that will work up to 50 lbs but not sure if that would be de-rated at the longer distance away from the wall and only supports 50 lbs not 55 lbs.

I can find some 'short throw' projector mounts such as the Premier UNI-EPDS, which is also available in black as the UNI-EPDSB, that would provide the distance desired but they all seem to have a 50lbs. limit.

Yes, that is what my search was finding as well.   the projector is 52lbs plus the weight of the lens.
