Projector problem
« on: August 21, 2013, 04:54:03 PM »

One if the churches I help at has a Vivitek AV500 that's dated January 2001 that stopped working last Thursday. I had it set up Thursday getting ready for an event on Saturday and it made an audible pop and went dark; when I moved it something was rattling inside it. Anyway I figured the bulb(original as far as I know) had blown but it doesn't look damaged in any way; could something else inside the unit have broken and caused the problem? Can I test the bulb somehow outside the unit? Multimeter in ohm mode across the connectors? I also haven't had much luck finding a new bulb online after searching several sites.

Thanks,
Tommy
