1969 Woodstock PA System
« on: August 17, 2013, 12:19:28 AM »

44 years ago this weekend.....

Was anyone there, how did it sound?

I Googled some pics and and info:  it seems there are 4 lower speakers and 4 upper speakers on scaffold on each side.  They were Altec/JBL and powered by 10 Macintosh 350w tube amps. Top cabs were 70' high!

I assume the coverage was very spotty, and not much throw.  Were there any delay speakers.  Seems like aprox. 8 speakers per side tried to cover 400,000 people.  Would love to know more about how it sounded.
