Hi all. I am wondering what kind of headphones those of you who have A&H MizWizard 3 boards use. I am not looking for something really expensive but would definitely like something that works well with that board.

   Probably the same type that works with any other mixer or console.  Unless you have some other parameter that we're not considering?

Don't care what board you use them with. The 29 dB of isolation and industry standard Sony MDR7506 drivers means you can hear what you need to.

+10 on the UltraPhones.
1 thing to be aware of though.. I have never had a problem with any of the boards I have used them with, but they are fairly low impedence. On some of the "budget" rigs you may run out of steam.  Sometimes on downtime, I will plug them into a MD or "diskman" for some tunes. My (old) Panasonic can drive them, but the more recent Sony can't. Go figure. Same mothership, incompatible product.
But, they are "Da Bomb" when you're stuck 20 feet from one of the stacks .........

Many people want zero external sound. I have found over the years that I prefer headphones that provide high quality representation of what the audience or artist hears while being able to compare what I'm listening to with what's really happening in the venue. I prefer AKG 240's for this reason.

Bob, do you think the 240's would be good for mixing down some live recordings as I don't have the money or space for some proper studio monitors? The reviews on Amazon are very positive and from what I've read online semi-open headphones are best for this purpose.
