Has anyone used the Karsect UHF Wireless In-Ear Monitor System. The fact that they are dual diversity are a big plus. The ear buds look like cheap ones but we don't buy them for the buds and most replace them anyways.

Has anyone used these for any length of time and what do you think.

Hmmm look at this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/UHF-Wireless-In-Ear-Monitor-System-/360383974720; I am curious if they are any good. The price is pretty nice when compared to the better known brands, but I'd have to see an actual review before I forked over any money for them.

No I just copied the specs from a websites description.  I did not see the extra comments until after I posted.

As for the cheapest. That is not what caught my eye first, but the dual diversity antennas. Then the fact that they were under $400 made me look closer.

I was just wondering if anyone has used them. An extra reciever is under $200 so that is a plus if they are any good.

My first set of IEM were those cheap Carvin ones they made 10 years ago and although they were not great they made it so I could hear my acoustic guitar when I played at church on Sunday without having to blast the monitors because I was next to the piano. Now I tend to do sound more than play and I want to bring our stage noise down because the Church is not very big and the electric guitar and bass are killing the mix. Since I started doing sound at this church 9 mounths ago I have brought the monitors on stage positioned better with hot spots for some but the guys with amps still are an issue even thought they are lined in. I turn them down and the turn up more.

I do sound in a small church too; we have everything either mic'd(electric guitar) or on DI's(most everything else) and as long as they keep the amp volume down we get a good, but kinda loud, mix. Usually I'm trying to keep up with the drums which are more of a problem than the guitars(thankfully I deal with understanding guitar players who only use the amps for tone/monitoring). Here's a pic from a gig we're doing this week; it's not in the normal church, but the building isn't much bigger.

My comments below are based on the specs.  I have not used this system.

Their tuning frequency band (840 - 865 MHz) is not legal for unlicensed (Part 15 rules) use in USA.

No specification is given for RF output power.

25 MHz of tuning bandwidth is not bad, but not great either.

With audio FR of 80Hz~15KHz +/-3dB, forget about this for bass players or anyone who likes decent low end.

The RX audio THD specs and audio output power specs are not very promising for pro use.

I don't consider 'cheapest' to be an attractive selling point.

+1.  With RF gear, you get what you pay for.

Yes, I have been using the Karsect in ear monitor system for 3 years. 
Yes, I am a bass player and electronics/RF technician.
I do not use the in ear buds that come with unit, but a Shure SE535 set with custom molded ear pieces.
I hear my bass with no problems.  The lower 80 Hz spec is for the ear buds supplied.

I have had no issues with the unit, quality of sound, or drop outs like I did with my Shure PSM 400.
The receiver is diversity receiver and has no problems with drop outs like my Shure system did.

The only problem I had with them is to send too much signal and they clip hard. 
The built in limiter squashes the signal too much.
I just learned to run them correctly and allow the clip light on occasionally.

IMO I would not buy a "cheap" IEM system or you'll end up spending more buying twice. A wired headphone amp or a hearback system may be cheaper and give you better results. I installed a hearback system at our church about 6-7 years ago. they loved it for about the first 2-3 years as new band memebers came on and old ones left they never really used it and expected monitors to be mixed for them, so we went back to using 8 floor monitors wedges. they only one who still uses the hearback is the drummer. Kinda sad since we have some Diva's about there monitor mixes (more so than even some of the touring bands I've worked with).
