Subs Under Tables.
« on: June 30, 2013, 05:40:39 PM »

What is your opinion of DJs placing/hiding Subs under Skirted tables. Unless the fabric is acoustically transparent, do you think it matters? Wouldn't regular fabric just muffle the bass notes? Would you do it or recommend the practice?

If by "muffle" you mean reduce the high end, yes. On the other hand, hopefully the crossover already did that before the signal ever got to the subwoofer.

Table skirts should have no impact on a subwoofer.

I was more or less wondering about the effect it may have on the throw lets say from a Horn Loaded Sub such as a CV or Danley.

NOthing short of a solid wall is going to muffle content that low.  I'd be more concerned with CD players on the table skipping from the "thumps".
