Depends on what you call "reliability".
Putting them in series-if one fails, then the other will stop working.
Parallel would be a better way for reliability.
Placing the 2 HF side by side will result in cancellations. notches in the response etc.
This will often lean to you turnt hem up (pushing htem harder), which puts more strain on them.
You would do MUCH better by using a SINGLE better quality driver-sound quality-sound output-reliability etc.
With audio-the FEWER drivers used-the better.
