Which Preamp for DPA 4066
« on: May 09, 2013, 04:28:21 pm »

Someone has done this I'm sure...I need to use my wireless  DPA 4066 with TAF4 connector in a hardwire situation - which inline preamp is most appropriate? ( and why )
I can't seem to find the information.
Thanks!

Looks like the Shure RPM626 should work.

That's what I was thinking.  And I found this from DPA:

Should set you up to just use the channel pre and phantom.

Basically does the same as the native DPA microdot-XLR preamp, with a TA4 socket instead.

Yes, we use Shure pre-amps with many of our DPAs.  We keep a large stock of RK183PKs for use with our 4060s and RPM626s with our 4066s, 4088s and 4099s.  They work very well.
