Condensation in outlets?
« on: March 12, 2013, 11:27:25 AM »

Pardon me if this was posted in the wrong forum!

Has anyone had trouble with condensation in their outlets and floor installed XLR outlets? My church has a major condensation issue and my inputs are taking the hit for it.

Any solution or being forwarded to one would be great.

Thanks in advance!

It sounds to me like the back/bottom of the box is at a lower temperature than the room probably because the box is a "hole" in the insulation.

My first step would be to get some type of insulation surrounding the box.

If that is not possible you might want to look at generally dehumidifying the space or using dessicants in the boxes them selves
