I run sound for a mobile church (all our equipment is setup and torn down each weekend) and I'm looking for a good book to learn the more technical side of live sound, as well as having a resource for training. So far, Yamaha's "Sound Reinforcement Handbook" [http://www.amazon.com/Sound-Reinforcement-Handbook-Gary-Davis/dp/0881889008/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_y] and Ira White's "Audio Made Easy" [http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Made-Easy-Engineer-Without/dp/1423420144/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_y] look best.

Yamaha's entry looks to have the most technical specifications and in-depth information, while "Audio Made Easy" appears to be more focused and concise.

I'm wondering... has anyone had experience with either (or preferably both) of these titles? Which would you recommend? Do you have any other suggestions?


Our Equipment:

Presonus 24.4.2, crossed to two Yamaha 15" mains run mono (thru put) on QSC HPR151i-W Sub and two Bose model L1s run at half mast (through an aux out for center fill). Running about 16 channels, full drum kit, lead and rhythm el.'s, bass, acoustic, keys and vox.
