Am I understanding that one d&b D12 amp powers one mix up to 2 wedges??  Is that right?

Hi Dustin-It depends on which wedges you are thinking about and of course are you talking about high SPL?

d&b D6 & D12 amps are stereo and can power up to two boxes per channel for full output and three per channel for speech use.  Just about the best sounding speaker in the business as they should be at more than $3K per box and about $5K per amp.  This based on the M4 wedges.

If you are talking rider friendliness - Any of the d&b wedges or the l acoustics HiQ boxes are big boy wedges. Depending on your market you can do the VRX wedges, but they are no where near interchangeable with the other two brands. If your clients are looking for d&b/l'acoustics, chances are most anything else will not cut it.

FYI: d&b MAX12 and QSC power has been a low cost option that has worked amazing for me in the past.

Check out what Dave Rat has to say about the topic:http://youtu.be/wI_3WYHS71c

Need to upgrade monitor package, doing national acts.  What are some of the best, most rider-friendly, never gonna complain about, and most practical wedges?

I wonder why he tested the M2 alongside those coax boxes? M4 would seem more similar to the rest.

The Martin LE1500's are our go to and not one act has complained. In fact, most have complimented that they are punchy like 12's but deep like 15's. we power them with all Lab PLM 10ks

I’m not sure of their rider freindly-ness, and I belong in the lounge, but what about the Danley SM LPM? I’ve used them and I though they were really impressive, great sound, light and I had no issues with feedback what so ever. I’ve also used microwedges, and liked them a lot.

Hi Dustin

You should consider the NEXO 45°N-12 with NEXO NXAMP amplifier.
