XLR Gooseneck Lights for Console ???
« on: January 27, 2013, 03:04:09 pm »

I am mixing FOH for my Church and we do contemporary Worship.  Our sanctuary is very dimly lit during worship so I am considering adding some XLR lights to my Soundcraft GB4 console.  Is LittLite the preferred brand?  Should I go with regular bulbs or LED's?  I'd prefer not to deal with extreme heat, but I would like to add enough light to see what I'm doing.

I use a Littlite Led XLR and it's great! My problems with dark places are gone.

John,

Littlite is one of the brand standards in the production world, although I'm seeing a lot of MightyBright users out there (myself included - I use the Orchestra Light).

If you're looking for a mixer light, just make sure it matches specs with what your console takes - # of pins, wattage, and voltage ratings.

Hosa make some, too.  If I need a dedicated console light (and the specs match up), I prefer to use the Allen & Heath one.  It's nice being able to dim them as necessary.
