But we have a lot more tools-and better ones-available to us now.
I remember attending many of "those types" of concerts-and they sounded fine. VERY rarely did I think about the sound.
From my memory-and my listening position (mostly on the floor in front of the stage-no assigned seating back then), most concerts were just fine-but not all-bad mixes etc for some bands. Some things haven't changed at all.
