So winter is almost here.

At last I have some cool winter gigs coming up where a snow machine would be great to use but I had a few questions first....


Choice of machine is Antari s-200

Placement. Up on truss or ground

fan or no fan?

Is this something that could upset customers?? Ie getting little flakes in their drinks?

If question two becomes a problem is an effect like this easy to contain on stage?

Snow machines use a solution that is similar to bubble and foam machines. If the machine is high enough the snow is reasonably dry, but is still a bit messy. It comes out of the nozzle damp/wet. Consider it a very limted-use effect.

pretty much every snow machine i've ever used (including really expensive ones) have a big problem with clogging if they're left running for more than a dozen or minutes at a time.

I find they're best done on a timer if possible...5-7 minutes on, then a couple minutes off and so on.

as far as the fluid used for it, it's entirely non-toxic, although some patrons might complain if it splooges a big amount of snow into their drink

When you turn it on drunk bar folks are going to be so excited about the snow that they won't care about a little soap in their beer.

Just tell them it's really fresh Colombian "snow", and they'll really get excited.
