It doesn't say it, it shows it.  Look at the pictographs.  The headphone jack is shown as a TRS stereo connector but the line out connections are depicted as TS.

That doesn't tell the whole story.  The previous generation of this device supported balanced or unbalanced line output, either TS or TRS.  So its perfectly reasonable that the pic may have shown a picture of TS cables, when it fact it also still supports TRS, hypothetically speaking.

I agree that this is probably the most likely truth and I am just trying to determine once and for all 100% that this device has been changed to unbalanced-only.

Dick - the headphone jack is a 1/8" stereo connector, not 1/4".

So if you take a guitar cable and you plug it in to the output of your tone lab to the first click ( so it is engaging the ring) and now you plug the other end into a common guitar amp ... Do you get signal?

If you do then it is likely balanced.  If you get no sound then it is definitely not.

It's a floor efx box... use a DI, into balanced snake line.

I and other people on the web have asked if the tonelab LE has balanced outputs. The the circuit diagram for the TonelabLE shows the sleeve and the ring of a TSR socket both connected to ground so no the LE is unbalanced unlike the SE which is balanced.

Yup, I have the service manual for this unit and can confirm this. Schematic shows TRS connectors but unbalanced signal output.
